Smart Water Dispenser
For several years now, we have partnered with Rocean, an ambitious American start-up. Their aim is to make single-use water bottles obsolete and remove one billion single-use bottles from circulation within five years.
Challenge
Rocean’s aim, to free your water from single-use plastic by using water from the home tap for consumption in all possible forms; created a multitude of challenges to incorporate in a range of consumer products. We focussed on bringing water and other drinks to the user’s home in the most convenient and sustainable way.
Approach
We designed several water products for the Rocean product platform in which many smart features have been added. Being their design partner we worked as an internal design team, bringing concepts to prototype the fastes way possible.
Result
As of this year, Rocean has been acquired by global water filtration company Pentair. Multiple products SLIMDESIGN has worked on launch in the coming years, and to this date, we continue being their partner for design and concept development.
After 18 months of involvement by SLIMDESIGN, Rocean was acquired by global filtration market leader Pentair.
