Expertise:
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT & VALIDATION PROCESS
Prototyping is how we make decisions.
We build early, fast, and iteratively to test assumptions, validate technology, and reduce risk. By making ideas tangible, we accelerate development and avoid costly mistakes later in the process.
Our in-house workshop allows us to prototype mechanical parts, electronics, and interactions in parallel, enabling rapid iteration and immediate feedback.
We use different types of prototypes at each stage of development, each with a clear purpose:
Early Prototypes
Simple models are used to explore size, ergonomics, and product architecture.
Low-fidelity technical prototypes test key principles and competing solutions before committing to a direction.
Electronics are validated through breadboard setups, ensuring all components function together before integration.
Digital prototypes are used to test user interaction and interface logic early.
Development Prototypes
Working prototypes combine mechanics, electronics, and firmware for the first time.
They are built quickly and iterated continuously to refine performance and system architecture.
More advanced prototypes look and perform like the final product, allowing validation of form factor, functionality, and user experience.
These can be used for testing, demonstrations, and early market feedback.
Final Validation
Once the design is defined, prototypes are used to verify performance, durability, and reliability.
We simulate real-world conditions through extensive testing to ensure the product performs consistently over time.
Towards Production
We support the transition to manufacturing by validating tooling, materials, and assembly.
Pre-production and production samples ensure the product can be built reliably at scale before full production starts.
Why It Matters
Most product risks come from untested assumptions.
By validating early and continuously, we:
– Reduce technical and commercial risk
– Avoid late-stage redesign
– Shorten time to market
