Police Body Camera<\/h1>\n

SLIMDESIGN operates as an external design and development team for Zepcam. We work in close contact with their electronic and software engineers. We were responsible for the design, engineering and production of the T2 wearable body camera.<\/p>\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n

Zepcam wanted durable body camera design for professional use. The interface needed to be simple and feature an easily accessible “record” button.<\/p>\n

Approach<\/h2>\n

We tried to compact the internal components, allowing the camera to be as small and unobtrusive as possible. The designers worked closely with electronic and mechanical engineers to find the optimal solution.<\/p>\n

Result<\/h2>\n

The result of the body camera development is a rugged, compact and lightweight camera that is capable of filming day and night. It enables individuals, for instance working in law enforcement or the public transport industry, to record important events. The product is now used worldwide by multiple organizations such as for example the Dutch national police<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Engineering & Production<\/h2>\n

We supported Zepcam with the final engineering, prototyping, and tooling.\u00a0 The implementation happened without problems and the camera is very successful and used by a lot of European police forces.<\/p>\n
